Awake at last
When I was a child in Melbourne in the 60's we had the most beautiful and wonderful remnant sisters. I called them Auntie Eva, Auntie Rith, Auntie Enid and Auntie Ada. They were all single sisters and special pioneers and special ladies in their own ways. It was a privilege to have met them and there was no doubt in my mind or anyone else's that they were all genuine anointed sisters.
However, later we moved to NSW Australia, to the Mid North Coast area and there were a husband and wife team who claimed to be of the remnant. He was ok I suppose but she was the devil! Enough said.

I think you have it right. That is pretty much what I understand. If you are wrong then we are both wrong, but I don't think so.

Awake at last
I can see the edge of another cartoon on the right hand side of that cartoon. Maybe if we had both it might make more sense. Also we would not want to do what the WT does and quote something but leave out the next bit which may alter the meaning or explain something. Opusdei do you have the next picture?

Witnesses Preach to Dog
by snugglebunny in"in el salvador, one man tied his vicious dog in front of the door whenever he saw jehovahs witnesses nearby.
the man would wait for the witnesses to move on, and then he would bring the dog back into the house.
the brothers were never able to speak to the man.

Wing Commander, I heard that story, told slightly differently years ago too.
BTW does any one remember the one about the Siamese twins, one became a brother and the other one didn't? Then he kept hearing stuff and eventually converted.
What about the one where the child came to the door and said that mummy wasn't home but they could see her feet behind the glass panel at the side of the door so they said to the child, "You tell mummy's feet that we called.".
Heard all this stuff so many times told in slightly different ways.

Judge Rutherford once said, "Religion is a snare and a racket". We all should have listened to da Judge.
If inactive ones return it is like the dog returning to its vomit.

Seeking support during confusing and stressful 'cognitive dissonance'
by LHS123 insorry for the long post but i need help.
ive been a jw for 20 years - still active and attending meetings, baptised at 18, i have recently become very dissillusioned.
a few reasons: ill treatment of my kids by a prominent 'assembly speaker' elder, then my son left the truth at 15 (not baptised) and was 'dropped' instantly, despite this community having been his whole life for 15 years.

What a lovely offer Mr Flipper to offer to chat on the phone with her. LHS123, Mr Flipper is one of the best people you can connect with, don't take the offer lightly.
i agree with the people who suggested fading. If this is possible, it can be slow but not as life changing all at once. It is also a good solution if your daughter has gotten baptised already.
Please read Crisis of Conscience by Ray Franz and take note of his attitude. He is not bitter or full of hate. In fact look for that in any ex JW things you read or watch or listen to on YouTube etc. JW Facts is good too as they use the WT's own publications to support what they are saying. But most importantly, follow the advice on the Brooklyn Bethel building which says, "Read God's Word The Holy Bible Daily". If we had all followed that piece of advice instead of reading the literature spewing out of that building, we would all have been much better off.
There is a scripture which says, "Where two or three are gathered together in my name, I will be there with them". You know the one. Note the two or three gathered. Not large congregations, conventions, etc. Ray Franz discusses this in his books and that is what he did after being DF'd. He did not join another faith or start his own, but had meaningful discussions and Bible readings within small groups. Something to think about.
All the advice from all the above commenters is worth your careful consideration. These people come from all over the world, so there are people on line all the time, whenever you can't sleep just do as I do and get on the forum. It is 2:15am here in Eastern Australia right now and I am on. I should be in bed but I am not. Others from the UK will be on now and the USA coming on soon. One thing that can be said for the organisation's unity is that no matter what part of the world we come from, we have all experienced the same things. The things the UK or USA people say, I can relate to. It is as if they are in my own cong.
All the best and keep in touch with the forum.

Interesting Millie210. I have not been regularly attending since about 2009 and have not attended at all since the memorial of 2013 so am very out of touch except for this forum. I have to agree with you about the door to door being a failure as a sister calls on me and chats. When I suggest that I should let her go and meet people who may be interested, she says it is OK as no one is home anyway and I think that if they were, they wouldn't listen, so she may as well count time and a RV talking to me about the pets, my family, etc.
